As part of this year’s DNOW weekend service project, the Youth Group participated in the “Pack a Purse” drive sponsored by Edgewood Realty Group in Fayetteville. The purpose of the event was to help raise awareness and to show support to victims of domestic violence shelter. The youth shopped for needed items, and then assembled 20 purses full of toiletries, bath and body products, feminine products, manicure kits, etc. The purses were then donated to one of our three local shelters; the Promise Place in Fayetteville, Community Welcome House in Newnan, and Weaver Gardens in Fulton County.
