Thanks to everyone who pitched in this week and made our VBS a great success. It takes a lot of folks working hard to make VBS happen – and we did not disappoint. We had a total of 21 children enroll, and actual attendance was 16-19 each night. A special thanks to our teachers who had the most important job, and to the folks who stepped up to lead a major segment of the VBS program – crafts, recreation, snacks and cookout, and Family Night.

One of our small groups spent Wednesday evening at Bridging the Gap Community Center. While there they sorted and organized donated clothing that will distributed to families in need.
Bridging the Gap is a non-profit organization that has been meeting the needs of Coweta County families and individuals since 2009, distributing food, toiletries, and household items to over 1,000 people every month. You can learn more about BTG by visiting their website.

Anna and her team had a busy week working with several area ministries, to include feeding and interacting with roughly 150 homeless people at a local soup kitchen; visiting with residents at a home for the elderly; and serving with a ministry called Children in Action, an after school program for mentally disabled and troubled kids.
