Thank you to everyone who contributed to our collection of groceries in support of Fayette Samaritans. We collected 12 bags of groceries and supplies, which will be delivered this week. Fayette Samaritans continues to do their best to keep up with the need for groceries as area residents continue to cope with economic conditions. Our donation is helping them to meet that need.

Thanks to everyone who braved the cold weather and came out to assist Grace Evangelical Church and theReal Life Center today in conducting a Mobile Food Pantry on the grounds of Grace Evangelical. Volunteers packed and distributed bags of grocery items provided by the Atlanta Food Bank. Approximately 202 needy Fayette County families were served.

RHBC was asked by Fayette Senior Services if we could help Cynthia, who lives alone in Fayetteville. She suffers from dementia and rheumatoid arthritis, which makes it difficult for her to get around. She has no family in the area. Thanks to Brian Farrington and Taylor Trebotte for spending their Sunday afternoon mowing the lawn, raking, and trimming bushes.

Mike Stout’s small group spent Friday evening in Griffin cooking for and serving 10 homeless men, women, and children staying at the House of Hope homeless shelter. The House of Hope is a Salvation Army homeless shelter that provides emergency housing for men, women, and families. They are open 7 days/wk from 4:30pm-8:00am, and serve breakfast and dinner.
