Help with Utilities

Michelle is an unemployed grandmother raising her three grandsons; ages 5, 4, and 3. The boys were removed from their mother’s home due to physical abuse. The youngest suffers from shaken baby syndrome, which has caused blindness and brain damage. Michelle herself has signficant health issues which limit her activity.

We first came in contact with Michelle and the boys in December when Mike Stout’s small group “adopted” them for Christmas. Since then she has done her best to support her family, and as soon as she has her next surgery she will be looking for a job. However, she is still struggling and fell behind on her gas and electric bills, to the point where she was in danger of losing service. The Real Life Center and Rolling Hills teamed up to take care of those obligations for her.
